United Insurance Holdings Corp. (UIHC), formerly FMG Acquisition Corp. (FMG), through United Insurance Holdings, L.C. (UIH) and UIH?s three wholly owned subsidiaries, is engaged in the property and casualty insurance business in the State of Florida. The three subsidiaries of UIH are United Property & Casualty Insurance Company (UPCIC), United Insurance Management, L.C. (UIM) and Skyway Claims Services, LLC (Skyway). The Company offers primarily homeowner and dwelling property and casualty insurance policies in Florida. In addition, it offers flood coverage to homeowners. On September 30, 2008, the Company completed a merger pursuant to an amended and restated agreement and plan of merger, dated August 15, 2008, as amended on September 23, 2008, whereby United Subsidiary Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of FMG, merged with and into UIH, with UIH remaining as the surviving entity (the Merger).
