be worth over $40 billion, making him the second richest man in the world.

Buffett is a value investor. His company Berkshire Hathaway is basically a holding company for his investments.
Last year 2007, Berkshire trounced the S&P's 3.5 percent advance with a gain of 28.7 percent, its best year since 1998.

Buffet: U.S. economy is already in a recession, even if it hasn't met the technical definition of two consecutive quarters of negative growth.
