Chesapeake Lodging Trust is a self-advised real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is focused on investments in primarily upper-upscale hotel properties in business and convention markets and, on a selective basis, select-service and extended-stay hotel properties in urban settings or locations in the United States. As of
February 15, 2011, the Company had five hotel properties with 1,629 total numbers of rooms. All of its assets are held by, and all of its operations are conducted through, Chesapeake Lodging, L.P., its operating partnership (the Operating Partnership). CHSP TRS is a taxable REIT subsidiary (TRS). On March 18, 2010, the Company acquired Hyatt Regency Boston. On July 30, 2010, the Company acquired Courtyard Anaheim at Disneyland Resort and Boston Marriott Newton. On December 15, 2010, the Company acquired Le Meridien San Francisco. In October 2011, the Company acquired Denver Marriott City Center located in Denver.
