Energy XXI (Bermuda) Limited (Energy XXI) is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of oil and natural gas properties onshore in Louisiana and Texas, and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. As of June 30, 2009, its total proved reserves were 53.1 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE) of which 58% were oil and 64% were classified as proved developed. The Company operated or had an interest in 274 producing wells on 148,784 net developed acres, including interests in 56 producing fields. Its wholly-owned subsidiary is Energy XXI Gulf Coast, Inc. The Company?s properties include Marlin, Castex, Pogo properties and Castex Energy. As of June 30, 2009, the Company completed three acquisitions of oil and natural gas properties.
