Numerex Corp. is a wireless provider of machine-to-machine (M2M) services. Numerex DNA is the Company?s way of combining a device, a network and an application to bring a customer?s M2M solution to life. Its focus it to jumpstart the application process for its customers, through its foundation application software technology or Numerex FAST. Uplink, Numerex?s packaged wireless security product, is a wireless communications solution for security monitoring that reports alarm, status, and other messages generated by security systems. Uplink provides a cellular data link and network access module that transmits alarms to virtually any alarm-receiving center or monitoring service. The Company operates in two segments: wireless M2M data communications, and digital multimedia, networking and wireline security segment. In October 2008, Numerex acquired Ublip Inc., a M2M software and services company.
