The Wet Seal, Inc. and its subsidiaries operate as a specialty retailer of apparel and accessory items for women in the United States. It operates two mall-based chains of retail stores under the names Wet Seal and Arden B. The Arden B stores provide feminine, contemporary collections of branded fashion separates and accessories for women. The company also operates Wet Seal online that offers Wet Seal merchandise; and ardenb.com, which offers Arden B. apparel and accessories. As of April 7, 2007, it operated 435 stores in 46 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, including 343 Wet Seal stores and 92 Arden B stores. The company was founded in 1962 and is based in Foothill Ranch, California.
