Cardtronics, Inc. (Cardtronics) is a provider of automated teller machine (ATM) solutions. The Company provides ATM management and equipment-related services (under multi-year contracts) to retail merchants, as well as operators of facilities, such as shopping malls and airports. As of December 31, 2008, it operated over 32,950 ATMs throughout the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico. Additionally, as of December 31, 2008, approximately 10,100 of Company-owned ATMs were under contract with banks to place their logos on those machines, thus providing surcharge-free access to their customers. The Company also operates the Allpoint network, a surcharge-free ATM network within the United States. Allpoint provides surcharge-free ATM access to customers of participating financial institutions. As of December 31, 2008, the Company?s operations consisted of its United States, United Kingdom and Mexico segments. On September 3, 2008, the Company acquired Deposit Solutions, Inc.
