Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. (Navios Holdings) is a global, vertically integrated seaborne shipping and logistics company focused on the transport and transshipment of dry bulk commodities, including iron ore, coal and grain. It has two business segments: Vessel Operations and Logistics Business. As of December 31, 2008, Navios Holdings? core fleet (excluding Navios South American Logistics Inc. (Navios Logistics)), consisted of a total of 53 vessels, aggregating approximately 5.1 million deadweight tons (dwt). As of December 31, 2008, Navios Holdings owned 12 Ultra Handymax, five Panamax, and one Product Handysize tanker vessels.
